Biram Dah Abeid, President de l'initiative the abolitionist movement against slavery and racism in Mauritania (Mauritania-Ira), released from prison Feb. 16, arrived in Italy on 17 as the Honorary President of the Congress Party's Radical non-violent, transnational and Transparty.
President IRA Mauritania is currently in Italy for the 39th Congress of the Radical Party, which runs from February 17 to 20, 2011 in Chianciano Terme, Italy.
other hand, the representation of IRA Mauritania Mauritania and elsewhere in Italy and the world is very grateful to the Radical Party and its President Marco Pannella to be promptly supported President Abeid Dah Biram and his comrades as they imprisonment by the Mauritanian regime December 13, 2010.
We are also grateful to these parliaments of the Radical Party in Europe that did not fail to engage their governments on the situation of slavery, racism in Mauritania on the occasion of the imprisonment and condemnation of the President and militants of the IRA-Mauritania.
We are also grateful to the Radical Party for its support of medical examinations of Biram Dah Abeid response to acts of torture and denial of medical follow-up he was the object while in custody.
We finally declare that we are determined to bring JUDICIAL prosecution for torture (Convention of 1984) against the Police Commissioner Mohamed Ould Mauritanian Javaar and five other policemen with him upon the conclusion of the medical report.
