Pierre Bottero: the boy who wanted to run fast.
Out of curiosity I wanted to discover what had been written the author's favorite children before finding success with the series of fantastic Ewilan and Other. (Series I like as well).
He wrote novels for young classical, rooted in realism and everyday life but very good quality.
Agathe, schoolgirl, has many worries: a father burned to death in his car, a little brother of 6 years remained disabled in the accident, a "scum" who terrorized and persecuted, a psychiatrist without emotion that does not heal his brother (he hardly speak, and stubbornly tries to run as he walks while already bent) A mother who has money troubles and had to abandon the family home for an apartment.
Through his own courage, meetings (a boy his age, a psychological substitute dark sky), friends (an Arab grocer and his son), this gradually lightens dark, minds and the body heal. Even the thugs eventually reform.
Okay for 10-11 years.
