How Does Temazapam Make You Sleep?

Elizabeth George

Unlike a detective series Connelly or Mankell, I do not read the novels of Elizabeth George - happy anyway - when I have nothing or to read a lot of free time.

And without trying to play them all.

Blame recurring characters too caricatured and lacking in depth compared to a Harry Bosch or Wallander.

the aristocratic Lynley and Barbara beautiful and elegant the big ugly prole, not far from being the easiest couple of detective fiction.

Helen, Deborah St James are less archetypal, but frankly not very original.

So I did not worry them enough to want to know absolutely what they get from one book to another.

What a shame because the author has an undeniable talent for detective stories.

a taste for the sordid and despicable crime but rather the law of the genre of noir.

It avoids the pitfalls of boredom and the exaggerated, silly thoughts or misconceptions.

But without those flashes of thought, the original philosophical considerations, these reflections scattered deep pleasure and improved player in the middle of thrillers Vargas, Connelly, Lehane or Mankell.

A good writer of detective stories but not so great writer.
(Without wishing to offend the lady, anyway I would not be able to write one of his novels) .
